NAMI PBC Peer Council
The NAMI/PBC Peer Council is a group of peers (persons who have a mental illness) who meet for fellowship, advocacy, education, networking and stigma prevention purposes.
The NAMI/PBC Peer Council introduces participants to advocacy and empowerment as a group and as individuals. It familiarizes peers with basic community and community provider information. Allows peers to give back to the community as a part of the recovery process. The NAMI/PBC Peer Council gives peers the opportunity to be heard in their own voice.
The business meetings are held the LAST Friday of every month joining the pizza and movie night routine at the NAMI/PBC office. Be sure to attend the business meeting to find out about the next month’s activity. *The Peer Council activities are for NAMI/PBC members only and anyone can join for $35 or $3 (financial hardship). If you are interested go to the tab on top of the website where it says become a member/donate. Call 561-588-3477 for more information.
Make friends, have fun.
