Fair Oaks Pavilion is a Baker Act receiving facility specializing in short term stabilization of acute psychiatric emergencies, as well as medical detoxification from substances. The facility benefits from the backup of a level II trauma hospital as well as a number of dedicated employees including nurses, licensed therapists, case managers and behavioral health technicians. They provide adult acute psychiatric inpatient care and are a designated Baker Act receiving facility. They treat a wide variety of behavioral health diagnoses in a calm and soothing environment.
Their program specifically provides a therapeutic environment for anxious, depressed or bipolar patients. This includes seniors suffering with acute mental health changes. Their new unit will provide patients with both individual and group therapy programs including medication management. Their program is designed to provide quality care and stabilization for patients, in a safe secure setting utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach.

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Services offers comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health services. The 88-bed inpatient unit is located adjacent to the hospital. Psychiatric needs of children, adolescents, adults and seniors are assessed and treated through a full range of programs that include individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, medication management, and aftercare. An intensive outpatient program and a partial hospitalization program are also offered. The Pavilion is the largest licensed Baker Act receiving facility that accepts children in Palm Beach County.

Intake is available 24 hours a day and psychiatric emergency response is available. The institute is a private Baker Act receiving facility and accepts involuntary patients for evaluation. Referrals from physicians, psychologists, mental health clinicians, law enforcement agencies and community organizations are welcome.
